Love, Forever

 She stepped into the shower,

Her body enveloped in warmth,

The only thing more satisfying

Was her lover's embrace divine.

She remembered all the times,

He whispered sweet nothings,

His voice like silk and caramel,

Melting her heart, and all it held.

His touch and presence around her,

Felt like oxygen in her lungs, 

A moment without him in sight,

Felt like destiny's slight.

She felt his eyes on her,

No matter where she and he were at,

A smile escaped her lips,

At a glance or casual chat.

She hadn't planned this,

Love that felt so strong,

She had better plans,

For joys and riches that would last long.

He was far from perfect, 

There were others better and how,

And yet her heart ached for him,

She needed him forever and now.

If ever she could have turned the clock,

She very well would have,

But with him in her memories and life

.....
